A photo from about 1926 was taken at the Aubyn Farthng house at Valle Crucis. Back from left; Leta Tester, my uncle Clyde Tester, Aunt Eunice Glenn Tester, Aunt Hazel Glenn Farthing, Uncle Ned Glenn, Front left; Gladys Tester, Glenn Farthing, Cecil Tester and Ray Farthing. Leta, Cecil and Gladys are children of Uncle Clyde and Aunt Eunice. Ray and Glenn are sons of uncle Aubyn and Aunt Hazel. The Testers had lived in Idaho and Montana since about 1915 and were in Watauga County, N.C. on a visit. Shortly after returning to Idaho, Cecil Tester died in 1927. He was brought back to Watauga County by train and was buried at the GREER cemetary at Grandpa Glenn's farm. |
