A 1913 photo featuring students at the JOHNSON PUBLIC SCHOOL, located across the public road from Grandpa Farthing's farm in Laurel Creek Township.

Manley Williams is the teacher, sitting at left. Ben Ward is on left of back row, next is one of the Billings sons, next is my mother's brother (GREER GLENN,born 1901), Next to Greer Glenn is Elsie Farthing (born 1901) dad's sister, Jurd Billings is next( dad's cousin who became an M.D. with offices in CALHOUN, GEORGIA),next is Bernice Glenn,(mother's sister), in front of Bernice Glenn and slightly to the right, is probably Delia Farthing (born 1896) dad's sister).

Many others are in the photo. Grandfather, William Farthing, also taught school here in this early period.
