(JENNIE LOVE, one of the students, was the daughter of DR. JACK LOVE who delivered many babies in this part of Watauga County, N.C. Jennie Love became a long time educator in Watauga County , and taught English to many of us who were students of COVE CREEK HIGH SCHOOL at Sugar Grove, N.C.

The IVY RIDGE SCHOOL, mentioned above, was located a short distance from the Louis and Callie Glenn farm on Rush Branch Road, Laurel Creek Township.

Aunt Bernice had several other grade school students in the lower grades, as was typical in the early one and two room schools.
