| Cove Creek High School, at Sugar Grove, N.C. where several of us graduated. I finished in 1944 and my wife Reba, in 1947. Ben and Dixie Rae, my younger siblings, graduated 1948. This and earlier high school structures, served this community, 1922-1965. At that time, a "central" high school for the entire county was opened in Boone, N.C. This facility has been added to the NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES and is now a community center. |
