		We visited the Royal Gorge in southern Colorado on our 1990 trip. I am standing on the bridge than spans the Royal Gorge nearly 1000 feet below. The Arkansas river and a major railroad runs through gorge. In 1946, I was put on a train with several dozen other Naval personel in Oakland, California for a train trip across the U.S. to the U.S. Naval Station at Little Creek, Virginia for discharge. The train went through the Royal Gorge and I remember looking up and observing the bridge high above the train. Lower photo shows Reba alongside the tracks at the bottom of the gorge.
