At left is a first cousin of ours, Richard Franklin. ( He is Aunt Delia Farthing Franklin And Uncle Bernie Franklin's son.) Richard had gotten out of the U.S. Navy and visited a few days in Watauga County, before enrolling at Auburn University, in Alabama. My brother, Benjy is at right and our neice, Laura Church ( 1942-1998)( daughter of Laura and Ralph Church).
