Upper pic, from 1990, includes some of the Grand Canyon Mules that carry riders down into the Canyon. NOTE the time is early in the morning, as riders are gathering here for the famous mule trip down into the Canyon.

Lower pic shows the Wrangler giving instructions to riders who are preparing to ride mules down into the Grand Canyon. I believe the Wranglers name is Ron Clayton, who is reported to be the head man in charge of the "MULE TRANSPORT SYSTEM" in the GRAND CANYON. He reported on TV some years ago, that most of the "Grand Canyon" mules are provided by a livestock dealer in central Tennessee. The mules go through a "training" period before starting service on the GRAND CANYON TRAIL system.
