| Mt Washing ton is located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The famous Mt. Washington RR started operating after the Civil War period. Upper pic features the first steam locomotive that pushed RR cars up the mountain 3 miles to top of Mt. Washington, highest point in eastern United States, at 6200 feet elevation.
