Pt Lookout, Maryland was the location of a Union Civil War Prison which opened after the famous battle at Gettysburg, Pa. July 1863. Many Confederate soldiers were sent here after capture by Union forces. My GREAT Grandfather, EDMUND MARSHALL (PAPPY)GREER ( Grandmother, Calley Greer Glenn's father) was imprisoned here after capture at Gettysburg, July 1963. Other relatives were also imprisoned here.

Middle pic shows Reba in front of entrance station. I am shown in lower pic. The sign refers to smallpox which affected some prisoners at this facility.
