| Photo at left shows a barn that Dad built on the farm in 1949. I also assisted in the construction. It had a second floor which was used as a workshop and also a place to grade our tobacco crop and prepare it for market. My father did a great deal of the construction work along with a carpenter who also helped in the construction. Photo at right was taken in 1985 and shows the same structure after we converted it into a 3 bedroom house. |
