Dad had bid off the buggy at a farm auction in 1948 at the "Will Winkler" farm located nearby. Mr. Winkler had died prior to the auction and his large farm property and horse drawn farm implements were auctioned off as part of the estate settlement. Dad purchased some of the other implements in addition to the buggy.
