| This photo from the early 1950s shows a new "homemade" metal farm gate that I constructed in our workshop. I used iron pipe for the frame and used regular wire fencing, which was stretched between each end of the gate. I also painted the gates "red" and made several of them. The old original wooden gate is shown beside the driveway. My Ford car and Dad's 1951 GMC pickup truck are shown in the driveway. |
