| A photo from the 1960s era shows the house that my father, Ben W. Farthing, constructed in Indian River County, Florida in 1957. This was adjacant to the NORTH CAROLINA COLONY Subdividson at Winter Beach, Florida, that is referred to on this website. My father did some of the construction himself. However, he was assisted by a carpenter from Watauga County, N.C. (TURNER WATSON, who, also, had a home in the NORTH CAROLINA COLONY). Dad and Mother spent the winters here (October--April) from 1957 until my father's death in 1967. |
