| BELOW; Taken in 1927, this photo shows ( double first cousins ) Raymond Farthing (born 1915, died 2004) and Ray Farthing (born 1915, died 1973) and Toonce Bently, at Grandpa and Grandma Farthing's farm, 5 miles from Valle Crucis. Grandma Farthing is standing behind the boys shielding her eyes from the sun. This house was constructed by Grandpa Farthing in 1901. The first 6 children were born before they moved here. Aunt Elsie was only a few weeks old when they moved into the new dwelling. Uncle Tom was born here in 1903 and uncle George in 1906. RIGHT: a close-up of Raymond Farthing.
