This photo, from the 1907 period, was taken in Boone, N.C. about the time that my father, Ben W. Farthing, graduated from the only high school facility in Watauga County, N.C. ( The school was known as "APPALACHIAN TRAINING SCHOOL").

BEN W. FARTHING ( born 1889 ) is shown, sitting at the left front. Immediately behind him is MARSHALL GLENN, my mother's oldest brother ( born 1888 ). Marshall Glenn and Ben Farthing were second cousins,( their mother's were FIRST COUSINS).

Can anyone identify any of the other 7 men in this photo ?? This long ago facility today is the APPAPACHIAN STATE UNIVERSITY with 15,000 students !!
